Thanks LV. The newbie was taught by her father that lures do catch fish - just not the right lure for conditions (bright sunny afternoon, no weeds for fish to ambush the Torpedo). I had to admire her persistence and concentration and wish I had a mentor, though brief, to show me a few things decades ago.

When it comes to stolen tackle, I see a burned out house on the way to the lake and think - NOW THAT'S REAL LOSS!!!
