Arthur, I’m with you on “catching what’s bite” camp! In fact I joined here because there’s a bucket list side of me if you will want to travel fishing as many types of fresh water and saltwater fish as I can with light tackle when time permits, starting with the many sunfish species the size of a hubcap you Midwest folks pulling out your home water! For most anglers here when the term ultralight fishing pops up they think Crappies, shellcrackers, and occasional bass throw in the mix, but before I joined that wasn’t the case with me. Up until 4 or so years ago I was still hopping county lines for trouts, bass, catfish, bony tail ( those are illegal now btw in NV)and oh even Utah chub! And occasional pier fishing California all with light or ultralight tackle...
