Couple of days ago I might have started a quest unbeknown that there’s no simple formula for: the perfect UL rod action and power for taking not minuscule but average size fish most of this forum members will not think twice tossing it back in the water as catfish bait, but for me it’s game fish fun chasing nonetheless. So last couple days even this valley heat wave (114 all week) couldn’t keep me out an hour here and there trying to catch something worthy of putting up a good bend...no such luck..lol. 3 different ponds including a small lake in Boulder City NV all over grown with vegetation...

...so hope you all like the pictures and if my assessment is correct and pictures speak a thousand words I think the rod at hand is simply a fast/extra-ultra light just because it’s pretty parabolic in the upper 1/3 section. Thanks for all the chime-ins!
