Caught 25 keepers Saturday and 21 Sunday, probably caught double that in smaller fish. The bite seemed to be off a little bit and our skills were too. We had a comedy of errors Saturday and Sunday, but its all good. We took a 12 year old young man with us Saturday and taught him how to jig fish. As luck would have it, he caught the biggest fish and lost another fish that was even bigger. I think he had a blast and we did too watching him catch some good crappie. But my tackle took a big hit from the fishing lesson. I don't know how many jigs that boy went through, and I know he used a full jar of crappie nibblets. The real kicker was I almost had a heart attack when he reeled a crappie all the way up to the end of the G-Loomis rod I let him borrow.
