Crappie seem to be slowin down just a little, probably those 100+ degree days for the last month. We went Saturday and caught 25 keepers, we had some decent fish in the bunch, but the fish didn't seem that aggressive. Most of the fish we caught were just barely hooked. The lake is finally back to normal and it almost seems strange to fish it when its at normal level again. Looking forward to some cooler fall weather and better fishing.

I've been going out the past few weeks, and have been doing pretty good. They seem to be feeding pretty good right now. I haven't gotten in a morning trip yet, but I have been getting to the spot around 1-2pm and fishing until 6-7pm. I'm primarly a jig fisherman and the color that has been working is a yellow/cht tube jig. I've tried other colors but that seems to be the ticket. The fish haven't been the springtime slabs, but they have been worth keeping, and I'm picky about the size of fish I keep. By the way these have been bank fishing trips. My boat is almost ready to roll, but I can't wait on the boat.

Yeah CG that was me. I was a little unsure of what that gentleman in your boat was doing with that device in his hand. Lol. I thought he might have been marking the fishing spot, but now I know so I'll be looking to check out the show.
