We did pretty good this weekend with the water finally coming down close to normal. I think it was a 4 or 5ft above. The summer patterns are back on track just like last summer and should only get better as the water level gets closer to normal. We caught 47 keepers Saturday and 42 Sunday and we were back home by noon Saturday and 1:00 Sunday. Caught quite a few good fish 12-13 inches, but no really big fish. Seems like the size has been getting better over the last 3 or 4 weekends. Not sure how many smaller fish we caught but we used 3/4lb of minnows both days and even caught fish on the dried up dead ones laying around the boat after we ran out of live ones. Caught quite a few on jigs early in mornings too and tried to alternate between jigs and minnows all morning. We really prefer to catch em on jigs just to feel the thump, but during the summer the minnows outperform the jigs without a doubt. Caught em on brush piles in 15-25ft and the fish move from shallow to deep as the sun gets higher. Sure was hot but we had fun.
