    Default caught a mess!


    Well..interestingly enough..I found fish in 10 ft of water about 4 foot down in the top of a brush pile. Caught a huge blue too!!! I figured they slabs would be down deep after the front.

    no huge ones..but from about 3/4-1.25 lbs. eatting size.

    Thx for the report, OKfanatic! I'm gonna be trying the crappie below the damn maybe tonight or tomorrow. I don't have a boat so I am limited to bank fishing. :rolleyes:

    Did you keep the Blue? They are also good eating.

    yes kept the blue..it was bigger than I usually keep but thought what the hell. A frying pan he will go!

    They are only letting out like 2k. Water level will be pretty low..lets hope the crappies are still up by the damn. I expect them to shut down the flow probably this week since the flood pool has about back to normal +1%.

    Mom wanted some fresh crappie fillets so Dad and I went up to Oologah Thursday evening and tried the timber one last time with no success. Moved out to the main lake on some brush piles 16ft deep and picked up a few on minnows. The bigger fish were right down on the bottom.
