Use the 455kHz for finding stuff all the way to the edges of the SI Range you have set....then set a waypoint on it...

Reposition the boat to rescan the waypoint with the 800kHz to see what it really looks like...

look at the picture thats using the 800khz above that rickie has posted.see how dark the bottom return is close to the boat.now look at the concrete structure thats in that shot.it shows very well but if the structure in that shot was made of wood it would not show very good at all.now look at this picture that i took.im using the 800khz.this is wood and it shows pretty good.now look at the si view. see how bright the bottom shows close to the boat.
