Fished today from Hawthorne to blue creek beginning at 6am. By 11 we had 4 dinks and 2 tiny catfish. We finally found a few nice fish in 21 fow and caught 5 keepers there 10-13 inches. Pink tube jigs got more thumps than minnows. We tried about 10-12 brush piles and could see fish in and around them but no luck till it was too late in the day. Tomorrow I take my daughter in law fishing for her birthday. Though she fished several times as a child she cannot recall ever catching a fish. Tomorrow will change her life I am sure. Back to Gibson for sand bass.
