Enjoyed another vacation day on the water today. I was on the water by 7:15 and tried the shallow brush pile I hit yesterday. The lake was slick when I got there and I don't know if the fish heard I was on vacation, or didn't like the slick water. I caught several nice fish on jigs, but decided to move to another close brush pile at 14ft when I didn't get anymore bites. I found a sweet spot in that pile and caught 6 or 7 fish in a row on a jig. The area was about a 2 foot circle where I caught those crappie. I guess the crappie decided they wanted jigs today, I caught 15 keepers and 10 of them came on jigs. I was using a 1/16 oz orange head with Bobby Garland's baby shad in licorice. I caught more throwbacks today than yesterday, threw back about 15. I didn't kill em today, but I had a good morning and called it a day at noon.
