Yes I have map. It's worthless. Even the one's that had been marked with a buoy are gone, including the buoy. When that big flood hit 1 1/2 to 2 years ago it wiped them out. Then that last flood finished it off. I have about 6 I made with five gallon buckets full of concrete and pex pipe to put out and a few Christmas tree's. I contacted the Corp of engineers about putting them out and got the go ahead.

Jason what is the procedure to get the okay on putting them out, who do you call? Do you also have to talk with the O.D.W.C. or just the Corp? Do you have to give them the locations or gps of where you put them?

I contacted Tulsa Corp Office and they gave me the name and number to the Ft. Gibson lake Office and the guy's name who is over Ft. Gibson. I called him and asked the process of getting the permit. He stated that they don't do the permit process on Ft. Gibson and didn't even need the gps locations. He stated I could place them anywhere and didn't need permission of O.D.W.C.

Here is the number I called that was given to me from Tulsa.

"Thanks for your question about fish attractors at Fort Gibson Lake. In general, I know many lakes allow such things but each lake has different rules and regulations about them since each lake has different circumstances. I recommend contacting Darvin McClellan or Kirt Curell at the Fort Gibson Lake Office to find out the specific rules about such items.

You can reach Fort Gibson Lake Office by calling 918-682-4314."

Not the best picture. But this is what I've been doing. Getting free 5 gallon buckets and I already have a couple left over rolls of pex tubing and so just for the cost of a few bags of cement is my only out of pocket cost. If anyone ever wants to get together I am fixing to make 6-12 more soon and it should't take long to place them out.

Does Gibson have a heated public fishing dock near Sequoyah State Park? I'm camping out at the Seminole campgrounds this weekend with the wife and kiddos and would like to fish early morning/evening and don't have a boat.

Not any more. The new owners of what used to be the restaurant /fishing dock floored over the inside fishing dock and expanded the restaurant. In the last heavy rain/flood all the boat slips and restaurant broke loose. They are still working on damage repair. I have not been able to launch my boat on the ramp there. No idea when things will return to normal.

Well that's a bummer, are there any open docks nearby that may be baited and open to public? Doesn't need to be covered and heated.

Not that I know of. You can fish from the North Shore of Sequoyah Bay across form the slips with a slip bobber. If they have moved in shallow that would be a good spot . Cypress trees are just off shore.
