New member question: I haven't fish Ft. Gibson in several years and I will be on the lake Thursday and Friday of this week. Any suggestions for a "newbie" spider rigger on where to start fishing on the lake?

spider rigging I would hit the bluffs and bounce jigs tipped with minnows in the rocks. I would try to keep my boat in 15' DOW and with doing this you will be fishing water from 8' to 20'. Keep in mind the wind direction and its going to be windy this weekend so there are only a few places you can fish with wind like that on Gibson. That will tell you where you need to fish...Ranger

Whitehorn to fish the bluffs above Hwy 51 bridge and there is a ramp on the west side of the Dam ti you going to fish down that way. With winds blowing at 25 and above MPH you can also fish the Jackson Bay area of the lake too along the South bank...not many options on this lake when the wind blows that hard...Good Luck......Ranger

The other end of the lake was even worse for me. Hard to tell with the wind but I'm not sure I even got a bite today. Spent the day exploring shoreline for new brush to fish. Found lots but I hardly saw any fish associated with the brush. Never seen it like that before to this extent.
