I gotta make it out there and chase some of those big blacks the next time I get a boat. My home lake has a few blacks but very seldom do you catch 1 over 8"

Fished today with clients Ben and James Sharp from Knasas City area and we had a blast. Started at 8:15 and closed the LW lid at 2:15 with our limit of 45. With the North wind and front arriving this morning it moved the fish around alot. Crappie were deeper than they had been from 16' to 22' was the magic depth. WT was still in the lower 60's too. When you thought you were fishing slow enough you had to put your hands in your pockets and slow down more. The bite was hard when they hammered it later in the day and lite in the morning just flicking the line or it felt like you had a leaf on the jig..JERK..All in All it was a beautiful day on the lake. One thing to look out for is all the duck hunters, and steel shot landing all around the boat. Baits of choice today were Slab Bandits in peral/chart and baby perch color...RangerName: 11-3-12 Ft Gibson 004.jpg

I have fished elbow to elbow with Ranger and tried to throw right on his line. I matched his retrieve and held my mouth just like his. I used his rod and his baits but the fish could tell it was not their BFF , Mark. He crushed me like a bug and it was a pleasure to watch Obi Wan use the force on those pigs. On Monday I'm gonna buy me a matching Carhartt outfit and splash on some of his Old Spice. By Wednesday I should have my mind right and I'm going back after em. I think I can fool em this time. Crappie just can't be as smart as I make em look. Way to go Ranger! I do think you owe it to your fans to weigh or measure those hogs if your arms aren't too tired.

CC, Ranger definitely knows how to use the force--that's for sure. My usual fishing partner is the same way, he will have 2 in the LW before I get my bait in the water.

George the MALE James is holding was 15 3/4" long and weighed 1.13lbs, and thats a big male. The females were alittle thicker across the back and wider from belly to back and shorter by 3/8" to 1/2" but out weighed him by a few ounces. I did not have a 2lb'er, but we were close with a 1.15lb'er according to my scales. We could of weighed the best 7 and had a weight somewhere mighty close to what EB and I weighed the 1st day of the Monster Fest..."Just Sayin".....Ranger

Thanks Mark. I am a little obsessed with weights and measures, appreciate the reply.
