Mark, that also explains why your fish are so heavy. Next post I want to know how much the top 7 shad weighed and we will deduct that from your overall score

EB. I have not had the pleasure but I look forward to meeting you and the other c.c Legends at a future Saturday tournament or on the water somewhere. I took about 30 years off to raise 5 good citizens and so now I try to get out at least once a week. Just trying to catch up. I am the well preserved 60 year old guy in a 2007 Bass Tracker- Blue- 50 horse with a c.c sticker on the windshield. The back of my boat rides high because I have nothing in the live well but snacks. If you still can't find me look for a boat with 2 anchors out and surrounded by buoy markers for your own safety. Stay beyond those as I am not a good operator.

Ranger I am trying to figure out how to float some of those orange traffic cones to surround my boat. You have seen me on my trolling motor so you understand why OSHA mandates the safety zone . Caught my first keeper at 7:30 today and limited out at 5:00. Fish were really scattered- one here and one there which makes it hard on a man who anchors every time the boat slows down. Silver and chartreuse all day long. Lost more than I landed even though the bite was hard right up until the hitchhikers took over for the evening bite. Water temp at 52.5. Fished 15-22 f.o.w. casting and dragging. I got on one really isolated lay down where I could see the fish all over it. Several sand bass later I finally remembered my prime directive and moved on. We ate golden nuggets for dinner tonight and 9 cloned 13.5" blacks went into the pond.

George your going to have to dedicate a day for no anchors. You can't learn to use the trolling motor by anchoring. Today with the light winds would of been the perfect day. Trail and error buddy. When to get off the pedal cause your getting to close or run past your desired spot, right, left, speed...your getting the picture..PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT..besides I have faith in you.....Ranger

That is very good advice Mark. Had not thought of going cold turkey on my anchor addiction but you are right and I need to do it. Sometimes it is time to leave a hole and I look around at all the anchors and Chritmas tree decorations and just feel tired thinking about picking em all up so I stay there and fish a spooked pile. It's mostly the multi tasking aspect of it that keeps my anchors out. When I'm on the trolling motor and I catch a fish next thing I know I'm so far downwind I can't even find my buoy ( buoys I mean). But I am gonna take your advice. Now promise not to laugh at me in front of family when you see me trying. (:
