Got on the water around 7:30 this morning and the lake is still on the rise. Water clarity isnt bad about 12" I would say. WT was 62 when we started and got up to 68 at 5pm. One thing I can say is the current was bad and got worse later in the day with some trash coming down the lake. Ended up with 33 today but still cant post pictures at this time....Ranger

How high is it expected to rise?thanks for the update, hope it settles down b-4 next week.Fish is starting to get better ,last friday ,we fished a section of water and caught 2 keepers, fishing partner went back today(while I worked) and got his limit in 2 hrs.Says I'm a jinx.
Appreciate the reports while I am trapped on dry land for a few days. How were you fishing Dave? Vertical or swimming? Minnows or jigs? Are they still shallow? Don't worry I'm not able to fish the tournament and the three of us are the only ones watching this thread these days! Lol.
Fished Gibson on Sunday and had 18 keepers. It was fishing this time not catching, the one thing about Gibson is the quality of the fish, it seems like even the days the numbers are down the size is up. Ther was aa pretty good current in the lake which makes presentation more difficult. But if you could get on the right stuff with little current you could get a few bites! EB
Yesterday with a swift current the position of the boat was critical and with just enough wind to combat the current was hard to keep the boat on that position. If you positioned the boat below the wood the current would drive even the lightest jig deep into the wood causing a hang up. Had to position the boat above the wood or upstream and use a heavier jig to float it just above and tickle the wood creating a reaction strike. I tried to go vertical but the current was to strong for a single 1/4oz jig...Ranger
