Thread: Crappie rule changes

Then Larry Pugh is blowing some serious smoke up my .... well you know. I have had numerous emails with him since the March meeting including telling me what would be announced at the last meeting on the Monday before the Wednesday meeting, I waited (out of respect for him) to announce what would be presented until the meeting was going on. When he got back in town the first of last week he emailed me and asked if I still intended to ask for 4 poles per person when I speak at the commission meeting June 10th, he remember almost word for word what we had talked about in March.
I honestly do think they are listening, may prove me to be the biggest idiot out there but until proven wrong I trust they are listening. They may very well pass the intent just the way it is but they will have heard from us.

Thank you John for staying involved and on top of this. Up until that meeting you attended before the only ones they had heard from were the guys who would outlaw trolling all together. If enough of us stay involved we can head off some of these changes that would have a negative impact on how we like to fish.

I dont think he is blowing smoke, they seemed sincerly intetested in what we thought at the meeting, all 3 of them in fact, they asked very direct questions and got direct answers, and gave us direct answers to our questions. I believe they are willing to listen and want the fishermens thoughts.

I received this reply on my email letter from Mr. Pugh. At least it's working and our opinions are being considered. Let's go guys email him a letter ASAP. Thx guys, your support is appreciated.

Thanks for your comments. I will be summarizing all of the public comments we have received at next week's Commission meeting. Several individuals have expressed your same thoughts with most favoring a 4 pole limit rather than a 3.

I will keep everyone updated as the process moves forward. Thanks again!
