Crappie rule changes

3 poles ain't going to keep people from coming. Not catching fish will stop people from coming. As far as the pole and tackle sales that's not going to hurt at all more and more are getting into crappie fishing. Ramps are filled up in the spring. They just need to slow down the catch rate that's what it's about. It's sickening to see 300 boats on Sardis any given good weather spring day people need to get a grip and realize whats going on and make adjustments or you will fish all day for a couple fish.

Now that's what I'm talking about! I should have said I told u so along time ago but I haven't. I actually joined this sight a couple years ago to try and persuade folks to quit fishing arkabutla and do there best to protect arkabutla. It didn't happen as everyone was too busy bragging about catching this and catching that(in a damn mud hole). They made fun of my comments as a newby as and I did my best to make sense of my argument. Well we never heard much after that and before long it was the Dead Sea. I sure wish we would have seen it comin! Greed is going to take over before long and no fish will be left. But I pray my kids will see the monsters we have been fortunate enough to catch. U guys really need to thing about this. Will I keep more fish if there is a 3 pole limit, or will I keep more fish if there is a 5 pole limit? I already know the answer but clouded heads have trouble with it. Save some and the future will be bright

The world is full of greed and that won't change. These lakes have done nothing but decline lately and realize that it's a cycle but we cause the cycle most of the time. This site, technology and the Internet are ruining these lakes. And before long crappie will be as strict as bass fishing once was. As for me I'm all for the changes and sent emails to Pugh and everyone I know is doing the same and they are not copy and paste emails.

Regs will be put in place as proposed. 39 total comments were sent in. Is what it is, think it goes into effect Oct 1.

This site, technology and the Internet, can also work toward improving these lakes. And this site, technology and the Internet are not going anywhere, so we all have to live with it and learn from it, and use it for positive improvement. Only one way to go, forward.

And as far as this site is concerned, we are always open to suggestions for improvement, improvement online and offline, on the site and in the lakes. My PM box is always open.
