Dad gets his resident Sportsman for somewhere around $25-30 , that's not enough guys. MDWF needs to get in line with TWRA license fees. Got to be able to pay for the needed enforcement. TN resident fish and small game is going to $35 That's more than MS sportsman license.
I disagree with you on raising the license fee on people from out of state. I live in Tennessee and fish in Mississippi 5-10 days a month. I
pay to store my camper, pay the campground fees, buy my groceries, camper supplies, bait, fuel for my truck and boat, have my boat worked on, and eat in restaurants in Mississippi. I read and article in the Mississippi Sportsman Magazine that said the last license increase for Mississippi Resident license was 23 years ago. Out of Staters pay 10 times what Mississippi residents pay. I choose to live in Tennessee and don't mind paying my fair share to utilize Mississippi resourses.
I may be getting older but I refuse to grow up.

fellas....this topic is about the new crappie rules.......its not about license fees and what you spend on other things
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Speaking for myself, if they would use the money for enforcement of the regs , I'd gladly pay double what I pay now. All the rule changes in the world is worthless without enforcement.

I started fishing crappie on Sardis in 1996. Number wise it was wayyyy better back then with the exception of 2013 and 2014. Quality wise it started making a upward trend in 2011. I caught my first 3 lber on Sardis in 2013 and then another shortly after. Jmo but the lake had just started paying dividends for the increase in size to 12 inch minimum.

OK.....I jus want to know, in plain, simple English, how many feesh I can keep (as if that's ever an issue for me, lol), and OVER what length they must be. If one lake is partly in MI and the other half in LA., it's simple. Have Wannabe go down there, draw a line in the water and mark it MI or LA. MI rules apply on that side, and LA rules apply on their side. Problem solved!!

    Now, let's go fishin.......

It will only happen if both states apply the same rules.
    Tell'em I'll be there.
