Still wondering how you define "accessible to everyone". What is the breaking point??? 1', 2', ??? That is one rule that leaves wondering why? Are y'all protecting people from tearing up their boats? If yes, then why? Is it to keep the ones who don't mind putting in the work and risking tearing up THEIR equipment from getting an edge on those who play it safe? It's a TX and as long as you can get there by boat without getting out it would seem e everyone had the same advantage. What if I'm in a 14' flat bottom and there is a 25 mph wind? Are you going to keep the large glass boats to fishing the same water as I can safely fish? What's good for one is good for all isn't it? Please respond Tofishy as I am really Intrested in how you can justify such a seemingly bogus rule.
What does it matter if I plan on fishing it or not. If you must know as of currently after reading these rule changes my decision would be No if made right now. As for calling him personally, why would I do such? He has publicaly stated his rule and out of curiosity I am wondering why such rules have been set. Seems if there is good logic it wont be very hard to explain. Can you add any insight on the "offlimits area" or are you just stirring the pot?
Not stirring the pot here. Actually what I did would be called putting the lid on the pot.
Well I ain't fishing it and never planned on it due to having guard drill. But, from a person who don't have a dog in the hunt I do think it is crappy to have a rule like this unless it is truly for safety reasons, I have fished hundreds of bass tournaments and in the spring some guys would show up with 12-14 Jon boats even had one guy that installed a jet drive to get in and over some skinny water and all of it was perfectly legal. If redman sanctioned it and FLW I don't see the issue here and why any area that can be reach by a boat from a public landing can't go fish anywhere on the lake he wants too. That's just me though. Not trying to stir or cover or even add any gravy, just wondering why.
It's a MCC tournament guess they can set any rules they see fit. This will be my first MCC tournament and if I am going to fish their tournaments I will fish by their rules. My choice.
