Tommy, if you put in a River lake most of the time you can leave out of that lake and go up and down the river channel to a certain point, even on the Tombigbee you can lock up or down to a certain point. Lakes like Washington and the COE lake are called "land locked" because you cant access other water from them.

To set the record straight, I am not stirring the pot or anything of the sort. i am simply curious as to why such rule exists. I have yet to read an answer of any sort. Like other's have said here, I have no dog in this fight either but it does peak my intrest. Thanks for the great response ATM and putting "lid on the pot".Thumbs Up

SIT DOWN, SHUT UP, AND STAY ON YOUR SIDE OF THE BOAT.
It may not make sense but that's the rule... It may mess ya plans up, but that's part of tournament fishing... Being able to adapt and beat everybody else with the water ya got to work with... There's some great crappie fisherman that will be on the water and I bet some good stringers will be put together... Stinks that it messed up people's plans, but the best way to show you don't approve is to whoop their hiney by weighing a heavier stringer... Best of luck to everyone fishing, be safe, and I hate feathers got ruffled, but at least you'll be fishing Saturday
