The Crappie Master rule is only about the tournament boundaries!!! They don't want to spread out the tournament over a 300 mile stretch of the same river system!!! They don't have any off limit areas within the tournament boundaries tho, as long as its accessible by boat, ANY KIND OF BOAT!!! If they did, Ronnie and Steve would be in trouble. Those guys work hard to get a fair advantage in extreme conditions, and may use 3-4 different type boats to do it!!!! That's why they usually do good.

I think the rule change stinks, but it is what it is. If a person decided to use a jon boat to fish an accessible by jon boat area, they should be able to do it. If the majority of fishermen chose not to do that, then that's their problem. Its all about finding and fishing less pressured, and more poductive water. I think the safety aspect is an excuse!! It's just like Torch called it. JMHO.

BTW, I'm not bashing either. I'm entitled to my opinion tho, whether I fish it or not!!!
