3 meals a day plus snacks ain't the hard part, trust me and I've done better on what I eat. I ain't had no bread in a while and ifn I do, it's a bagel in the mornin. A feller that likes to eat like I do can't jus go cold turkey all at once. What irks me is when I know I've done better than I normally would do and I've taken my mess and my stankin sugar will still be up. Oh well, I'll learn one day. And fer all y'all Dr's on here. I live with a farmacist, so I get plenty of doctorin and leckshurin on what I should and should not be Eatin.

And yo rice will turn straight to carbs, which makes my sugar go up. So pffffft.

In the cholesterol dept......You might be unhappy if you knew the fat content of some of that stuff on your plate. A salad can add up to trouble in no time flat. And I've always heard that liver is high in fat as far as cholesterol goes. It's 21% fat before it's prepared. I've had co-workers go on salad diets and gain weight. Guess you're going to have to do lots of research to figure it out. Hang in there, though. Once you get it figured out it will definitely make a difference!
Exactly right.....his Dr. should have given him a list of does and don'ts.........eating like he is doeing and thinking he is eating healthy is bad news.

it's a LOT of information to learn in a short time, G. Rome wasn't built in a day. He's trying and to be dealt a double whammy with sugar and cholesterol would NOT be fun. Ain't none of us perfect right off the bat! My dad got dealt that same double and it took my Mom a longgggggggggg time to figure out what he could have to eat and which things were the lesser of the evils. And it's a lot easier when you are eating at home. When you eat on the road you never know exactly how they make things and don't always have a lot of choices.

Tracy is doing JUST fine. He is getting better by the day.
