Very good Kirk, well done. I'm impressed, I mean that. We make an additional three or four sausages of different types. Patties for breakfast, bratwurst, etc. Also grind our own hamburger meat.

My point is proved.I may be a knucklehead, but some of you guys, you know who you are, are "meatheads". Yes, I'm talking about the Aggie and others.

Danny is being a meathead better than being a cheesehead. Go Packers.

Then it starting raining. If that's the case, in the house I go to make fresh sausage. Ground up fresh pork:

The folks can say what they want about prices on hooks, bobbers, and jigs at Bass Pro Shop or Cabela's. Cabela's makes the finest processing equipment around - I know. Breakfast sausage this is, maple syrup involved. Stack them up, then into the freezer:

Will work on a different blend the next time it rains, link sausages probably. I know folks find it much easier to go to Walmart to buy sausage. I find fun in this, the way I roll. And, I know for a fact the chicks tear it up
Randy, I have to agree with you on this. My dad has a commercial grinder he bought from Cabelas years ago and it still works like a charm!

Hey Redge, do you use a water stuffer to make your sausage? We bought one a couple of years ago and it cut our time down by 2/3rds. We use to just change out the grinder and put the stuffing tube on it and make the sausage that way but it took a lot longer. The water stuffer is the way to go if you aren't already doing that.
Here is the one we use.

I had wondered how the water stuffers worked! i.e. Wasn't sure if it would stop or coast a little?
