No Maj, especially if your wife's cooking is real bad, you can use leftovers for stink bait:eek:
Maj if you are planning on competing in the frut jar tourneys then you are good to go with what you got. If not then Awesome Pink, Mistake and Mad Cow need to be on your shopping list.
Thanks guys, and I am going to be at Grenada next month and then Enid. I won't really be "competing", just fishing & meeting new friends.:)
Why the heck not Maj. If I can do it, you can.

And we all know that WB cant fish for sure. He is there at the FJ's just so he can handle the CASH.
Just ordered two more 12' B&M Pro Trollers from Monk's.
Maj, When you order from them do you call or do it online? I hate not talking to someone when I order something over the internet. I just placed an online order from them for (4) 12' prostaffs. I just hate doing that, but I guess I should feel comfortable due to their rep. How long does it take to get them?
I do it on-line Bear, they're very good at it, send confirmation e-mail right out. They are quick too, they ship USPS Priority mail.
You'll get used to it Bear...first thing ya know you will be ordering all the time just like me and Major. Of course we can't do it as often as old Major does because of the wives. :D
Monk is as fast as anyone I've dealt with...good folk there.
Many thanks G3, here are the charts I have been looking for. You should be able to right click on the pics and select print for your own copy. If not, open them with PAINT and resize them to fit your needs, then print them. You can also save the pics to your computer for later use.:D
The charts are good E-Z but what speed are they based on??
Speed won't change the depth they are designed to run. It will effect how quickly they get there, the pitch of the rattle and the tightness of the wiggle.
Thanks yikess.
I think it is something like from .7 to 3.0 mph they will reach these depths. And I guess it depends on what speed the crappie want on a given day. This should prove to be a lot of fun, can hardly wait on the 60+ water temp to try this out.
I printed out the charts and trimmed them down and plastic laminated them. I keep them in the boat for referance.
Ok Majfly here is another question. I have done a lot of reading on cranks and people say that the crank dives based on the lb of line used. If you notice the bandit charts say 10 lb test. Is this true for pulling cranks? Will 12 lb test run the cranks shallower and 8 lb test go deeper? This makes since when casting and retrieving but if you are pulling these lures for long times I think they will run to there depth no matter what lb line used. If this is true then will braid that is 10 lb test 2 lb diameter run them deeper than 10 mono? A lot of you guys use braid pullin the cranks but I think I'm gonna stick with mono because it stretches and I think that will result in fewer hangups.
Hey majfly, I notice in your box on the right ,3rd row from right, on the bottom, you have two bandit chartruse sparkle in 300 series, Can you tell me where you found these ? That is by far my favorite color when I fish Kentucky Lake but always have to use the 200. I have never seen it in a 300.
I have been trolling crankbaits for a long time and have caught 100's of crappie with this color but usually I have to weight the 200 down some. WM actually makes the same color because I told him about it one time at Bass Pro. He was just coming out with his at the time and when he found out that I trolled crankbaits he sort of cornered me and asked lots of questions. I do catch them on his but his is not exactly the same. His is brighter.
Here they are Bandit. Bandit Lures
Lookin good there Bandit
Hey....that chartreuse sparkle does look good!
Give me a closeup of that Chartruse Sparkle and I will paint some.
Dang fish eat the eyeballs off of my bandits...:D

Question for all the "Pulling Crank Baits" 101 professors.
I'm finishing up the mounts for a trolling setup on the stern of my pontoon boat. Any thoughts as to the angle of the rods coming off the sides? Do you find it best to run them 90 degrees off the beam, or slightly towards the bow, or does it matter? I'm setting them parallel with the water, just was wondering if there was any advise relative to the fore and aft perspective? 4 rod holders off each side, with 6, 9, 12, and 16', with the shortest toward the stern.
Also was wondering about the angle of the rods coming straight off the stern. How much angle upward will prevent a big cat or wiper from pulling the rod out of the holder? I'm using Driftmasters, and can set the angles as needed.
Thanks,
boatstall
Boatstall, from what I have learned since starting this thread is like you suggested, straight out and level or slightly down. But, I'm still learning so if this isn't correct, someone will correct me. And that's a GOOD thing.:)
I'm pretty sure the one they are talking about is the top one thats pink with silver sparkle.
Bandit Lures Crankbaits - 200 Series
Boatstall, as far as the ones out the side, I actually angle mine slightly to the bow, but 90 degrees would be fine too. The reason I do it that way is so the tips are in front of me rather than behind me with the bow in the rod. Keeps me from having to look behind me and has the added benefit of maximizing the spread. Course, my holders are mounted in front of my console slightly, so that may not be a consideration for you.
As far as the stern holders, the higher the angle, the less depth you're gonna have. Just another way of fine tuning your depth. As far as getting a rod pulled out by a fish. Saw a thread not too long ago where a fella had taken a big carriage bolt and taped it down a the end of the handle with the bolt head towards the reel. Gave it just enough of a stop to prevent it from slipping through. Cheap and effective. Either that or a Rod float would eliminate the worry for ya.

Bandit, I've seen that color on the shelf at Academy in Jackson more than once. Think I bought one but sacrificed it to a tree line one day when I got a little too cute for my own good.
