Funny you should mention that, on one of the Midwest crappie shows with Kent Driscoll he suggests removing the back treble hook and replacing it with a red hook.

    Smile bandits

So Maj, you bought some 200 series bandits? What number would you say a person should get? I have never used crank baits for crappie, but I promise myself to give it a try soon. I'm going to bps in the next few days and purchase a few.

EZ, it all depends on the places ya gonna fish. Deep water lakes or the REZ. 300 bandits will run the deepest and are used in the summer and fall when the crappie go deep.. In spring to summer when they are not as deep a lot will run200 series to keep the bait away from the boat( further back). Colors are to the customer pref. black, pink ,ole miss, mad cow , mistake just to name a few.. have fun.......

Gene, I like what Satdoc said. All I've bought so far are the 300 series. But NOW, THANKS TO DONDON I see that I'll need some 200's. This is a never ending money hole. But, I'm loving it.:D
