Boy's got the same problem I USED to have. Has all this info on how, when, where and why to fish certain ways and then does the same thing he always does so no fesh in the boat. Least I finally started listening to what I've been told to do

Yeh....it sure looks like you got things going your way now that you weined yourself from Wannabe ways, Lol. :D
It gets worse Bill.....thats the fun of it. :D
Can't let this great thread die so back to the top.:D
I got in 12 Grave Diggers from Cabela's today. They look like Bandits but to they run like Bandits?
Maj, looks like you suffer from the same disease I suffer from... I think it's called cantbuyenoughia.... It is very painful at times.
I keep asking about a 12 step program for this problem.;)
Just got two 12' B&M Pro Trollers in & those along with the two 10'ers that came in last week complete my planned 4 rig stater kit. New Okuma MA-15DX line counter reels, Stren 10lb origional high viz yellow & a boat loan of Bandit 300's, 200's & Grave Diggers (with red rear hooks), new rod holders that E-Z made for me, and I'm ready to start pulling cranks. Took G-3's advice & printed out the Bandit depth charts & had them laminated to keep on the boat for reference. I guess now I'm just waiting on 60deg water temps.:D:D
G3 and Maj, Sorry to be the one to have to tell both of ya the 12 step method wont work on a NEVERENDIN STAIRCASE.
Yeh I know it....I already have another list made out.
Me too. Going to BPS when I get off work today for a few more colors.;) Just a few.:D
I was gonna get justa few of the Wally Marshall Crappie Crankbaits from BPS the other day...I did....They come in 12 colors so I got one of every color. :D
I have nothing of value to add to this thread. I just wanted to give one more reply to it in an effort to ensure that Maj remains the undisputed champion for the longest thread eva! Plus, I've got $20 riding on it.
Wannabe...
Vote for Maj.
Thanks WB...oh wait....I was supposed to have PM'd that.:o
Ok I have had way to much time off work so I decided to learn how to post pics. These were caught last fall off of cranks here in AR and what caused me to try and learn how to crappie fish. Hope this works.http://s741.photobucket.com/albums/x...t=IMG_0148.jpg
Was on the Rez yesterday just up-river from 43 & saw Paul Johnson pulling cranks. Haven't heard yet if he did any good, but water temp was 45. I did Ok pushing spinner baits.
Major who is Paul Johnsan? That name sounds familiar.
Hey Maj
Did you ever get to test out those Cabela's 6 pack crankbaits?????
I misspelled his last name, should have been Johnson, he is a writer for the Clarion Ledger and another mag, I can't remember. But he was pulling cranks from the back with a remote controlled TM.
Hey WB. Remember this thread?
Minner, you a bad, bad man.
Wannabe...
I was in Bass pro yesterday and noticed they had the 300 series in a crappie version. They looked good. I didn't know they had added these.
or he'll be at BP tomorrow. LOL He's out TESTDRIVING his 998 today over in Pelahatchie bay. Cna you believe he actually called me FOR ADVISE AHHH HAHAHA Sucker born ever day
Twas 63-65 in Pealatchie Bay today. You know what that means.:D
Go get them Maj. :)
I told ya a place or 2 to try and one was around a bridge so you KNOW I'm right on with that info LOL
Pulled cranks that is. Stayed at Enid Sat night, got up early Sun, & got the boat in by bout 7:30. Put all 4 B&M pro trollers with the line counters out, all with different color bandit 200's, put the 12' poles out 70' and the 10'ers out 50', followed the contour lines on the lake map to stay in about 10-15ft and WOW!! That was fun. Had 3 of the 4 poles with fish on at one time!!. Pulling cranks to fishing is like 3rd base in baseball, ACTION ACTION!! Caught many crappie shorter that 12", a whole bunch of white bass and some green bass. That was so much fun, I don't know if I'll ever buy minnows again. I took pics but haven't loaded them yet. Will get them on here as soon as I can. If you haven't tried it yet (pulling), you don't know what you are missing.;)
Were you pulling with your outboard Maj ?
That little 25 Maj got is prefect, just put it in gear and it will push you around fine without a trollin Plate.
Yes G, Sat got is right, was going 1.6 to 2mph. Not sure if that is the right speed or not, but had a ball doing it. Fishing from the console, I had a chance to get to know my 998 a little bit. That thing is awesome and I've only scratched the surface so far.
Sounds like ya had a ball Maj. My 115 fourstroke will idle in gear at 2 and a half mph by my gps. I think I might be able to adjust it down just a little more....I am going to check on that anyway.
