Yeah, you need to add the Walleye Assist Net King Emeritus (Rich) in there too, he's guilty if nothing more than by association.

I hate to even throw my two cents in for fear that someone might think since I do know you fellas that I might be just as crazy as you all are !!
anyway, as far as getting a deer blind up on a platform, I use my own redneck method as I do not have access to either a skytrack or a crane.
I put extra long posts in and build my platform on the ground around the posts.
put your building onto the platform and attach it securely (in case you lift it unequal and it wants to slide) then attach a come-a-long or chain hoist to the top of each post and slowly, and I repeat SLOWLY! raise it to the level you need.
a couple inches on each post at a time,.
I have built several over the years that could not be reached by any equipment and this works well,
I have several come-a-longs if you need to borrow any.
    good luck!!

He might be able to lift it, or rig something out or a 10,000 tow strap, and ratchet it to a jacked up truck rear end, and a pully in the near by tree.

    That would lift it..........................................

Sell tickets, it would be a sight to see..........

So I guess it worked out for the best, now if Jr. Can hoist it up on a elevated platform will be the next hurdle.

I know John. He didn't ask me either. Shipping rollers in the 8 foot variety can load anything on a trailer. But, I need another like I need a hole in my head!

I've built than on trailers to be moved around too.

Must be getting old, went out to the boat because I convinced myself that I forgot to empty one if my livewells. I wasn't wearing any pants but the livewell was empty

yeah, I really did not need it either , but am sure it would not have stopped me from getting it, although then the wife would have wanted me to raise checkens in it, so on second thought am glad I did NOT get it!
besides I am in the process of building a slightly smaller version of my "other" deer blind and the wife says I have to make it look "nice"
so I will be doing a six sided 6'x6' blind next spring with the same live edge siding.

I forget lots of things.... but rarely forget my pants :O

I could have set you right up John, a complete unit.
Feeders, waterers, nesting boxes, 3 tiered roost!
    Just add chickens!

Gave all that stuff to my cousin (and employee) Tim.
He takes anything free but didn’t want the coop.....that meant he’d have to work to get it home. 2017 "Shots From The Hip"2017 "Shots From The Hip"2017 "Shots From The Hip"

Now Metaphorically, we could take this ALLOT of directions.....

You could have been promoting the Colonel.

You could have been using a milk crate to stand on, to do what ever you were doing with your pants off to your boat. Speaking of that, Steve's boat has an "Ash-Hole" on the Port side. (Steve, Keep Rich away from your boat)

You could have mental issues, and thought you were your Halloween costume, the full live-well with stench would have been an pheromone attractant.

You could have accidentally inhaled some Doe in heat, while working on that "Wiklund Tower" Deer Blind, and been a little but "Rutty"------ At your age, its know fact you can not distinguish between Doe in Heat, and Livewell stench. so the confusion is understandable.........

Three stooges? Steve, Aaron and who's the third?

These knuckleheads make me laugh, too. Every night when I sit down for dinner I have to check out what nonsense has been taking place. One day it's OE with some sort of compliment for my catching ability, the next it's Steve showing off the UP honeymoon suite. That's where he took all the chicks.

John, Don, Kevin- don't be shy, join in. We're running out of ammo to shoot at Aaron. We need more targets.
