So, Rich, you got a picture of these rubber boats, these AWESOME rubber winter boats?

Good Grief, and you all pick on me............ At least I can spell without stomping my foot like a horse.

How many "Stomps" does it take for Rich to spell "BOOTS"?

LaCrosse Icemans.....mine must be about as old as yours Rich. Had them stuck away in a closet after we moved down here and forgot I had them. About 10 years ago I bought something similar Cabelas had. I think I'm set for sub artic footwear for a long time.

MSU game was a good one......i got a chuckle out of the field goal kicker taking a slide on the wet turf after he made the game winning field goal, a reminder they are still kids at heart playin in the mud.

Since the wifey isn't up for a trip to Cabelas or Bass Pro, I ordered 2 new rods/reels and assorted baits on line. I would much rather put my hands on something I'm going to buy, but in this case I needed my fix and I already own 2 Pflueger President reels so another 2 should be the same.

Coffee pot is on, I need to be fully awake and alert this morning......taking a trip with Jerry and I need to be on my toes.

    Damn time change.

Same here , Steve, coffee is made and all morning rituals completed. Someone forgot to tell the dogs about the time change. They were begging to be fed at 4 am new time.

I have a pair of Icemans that I bought in the mid 90's and rarely wear them. They are the warmest boots ( or boats ) I've ever had on but my feet rarely get cold so unless it's bitter cold they are overkill. Usually wear uninsulated burly boots for ice fishing or working outside during the winter.

I have always worn Mickey Mouse boots. Got the first pair when I was around 12-13. Have a pair of white ones now. Have trouble keeping my feet warm (diabetes) I have never tried another kind of boot for ice fishing. My feet will sometimes get a little cold even in these. Jerry: Ribs turned out great.

I'm like you Jerry, feet don't usually get cold. All my buddies hate it. I'm the guy on the ice fishing without a coat and gloves at 10 degrees.

They stopped making those boots for a number of years. They make them again but they are not the same. Felt is thin and the boots are narrow.

I have some mouse boots too. They are also getting harder to find.

I'll bet they were perfect, Larry. I might have to make ribs next week end, they sound good.

I met Steve this morning at a local mom and pop for breakfast. We then headed up M-66 through Ionia (former home of OE) to the beats-a tent resort. I had a few things I wanted to take up and needed to turn on the solar heat and check to make sure the place was still standing. Along the way we stopped at my sisters property on Holland Lake in Sheriden. I'll be having an ice fishing day there some time this winter for anybody that wants to show up.

On the way home we went through Lakeview and stopped at the local bait and tackle to browse the merchandise. Ended up with a few odds and ends then continued home through Langston, Stanton, Crystal, Muir, Lyons and Sebewa. We both agreed that it was the perfect day to go for a drive. Thanks for the company, Steve.

Three days I never miss in the woods. Halloween, Nov 5th, and Nov 10th.

It has been more than 3 years since I watched a single second of NFL football. Long before the kneeling issues. I used to nap while listening. Because of their "its all about me" attitudes, and lack of moral values, I gave up on them. I now spend Sundays enjoying a little thing I call "life".

Although I own thousands of dollars worth of quality hunting gear, today I decided to sit in style. Notice the slippers!

I didn't get to the finish carpentry this year but it is an awesome cabin.
