Good thing thats my beer of choice.
Brown Bullhead, they usually stay small (probably less PCB's) skim em, pull the filets, and BBQ them in butter on tin foil. Good eatin.
Heart surgery update, they suggested I go walk at the mall but I live 10 miles from Cabela's sooooooo Tiff suggested we take a daily trip to the "old men's toys r us" and do our walking out there. Great wife!!!!!! All is going well. Modern medicine is amazing. we've put these surgeons on our permanent prayer list.
Good to hear all is well Mike. Go truckin'.

I found this and being from Louisiana was quite surprised. Being from Michigan, I thought you guys might get a kick from it. It is a silly, subjective ranking by a couple of guys, but was fun. And congrats on your ranking!!
Big fishing day tomorrow. Jeep is packed with rods and tackle bag. It's gonna be an adventure!!!
Surprised me too Danny! Thx.
Sweet. Safe travels.
I haven't been bitten yet. We got a few gator's also. Have eaten some, but they haven't bit me either. lol
Wow, you guys!!! Nice boat...I like red...
My great husband brought home a bunch of fresh perch yesterday with this new boat!!
I stole your idea and started a thread like this on the Louisiana off topic. I call it a shoot the bull thread. It seems to be liked. Thanks for the idea and thanks for letting me post and enjoy your thread.
Always welcome Danny!
We went to Pinckney State park today, Dar caught some gills I a couple bass, to small. but a nice camping spot tho. I learned the hard way to look back and take note of where you come out of the channels. Looking forward to camp in fall.
You're one up on me then Tim. I have not been over on those lakes yet. I remember years ago before GPS and fish finders with mapping that lays "bread crumbs" for you to follow back. I did the same thing. Live and learn, huh?!
i need some input please. my old boat was getting in bad shape so i decided to replace all the wood transom ,stringers and floor. i cut all the old wood out but the stringers. i have a boat guy come look at what is left to do and he gives me his price. i took the boat to him on memorial day weekend. i have in writing job will take 10 days. went to shop to find that all that is done is transom cut to fit but not in place yet. so do i ask for my deposit back and take my boat some place else or just shoot the guy? keep in mind this man has been doing boats for 30 ,plus years in the flint area. WHAT WOULD YOU DO!!!
I'm hoping that you haven't paid him ALL he money for the job. You do have financial and legal leverage there. You can let him finish, or you can pull the boat and pay him for what he's done and take it somewhere else, My :twocents
no only half but what a way to do business :(
I might have a conversation with him to find out what is going on. Maybe give the benefit of the doubt. We all like to think that if something did happen (death in the family, emergency, etc...) that he would at least let you know (that is how I would do it) but not all people are alike.
IF however, after that conversation, I figure out that he is just lazy, giving me the run around, and so on, I would make my decision. If he is the only one doing the job you need, or comes highly recommended, you might bite the bullet, if not, you may take it down the road.
he's just lazy. just keeps saying he's sorry and doing the best he can. he did come with good recommendations, bin in business 33 years just think he's getting to old to do the work. but i got a barn find Saturday till we figure out whats going on. putting the motor on this week Attachment 209119
