Ok...not sure what is goin wrong or when it happened but I changed up the way I tied my jigs after some advice and tips I read on here.
Here is what I do....I lay a thread bed down on the hook shank two rows thick, then put my flash, then Marabou(or just Marabou) and after each one I wrap the thread round bout 2 times, and then I lay the chenille the length of the hook shank then wrap the thread round it twice...then I make a few more wraps between the head and the chenille use my whip finish then put a spot of head cement on. I was tyin one just now and the whole thing rolled on the hook, so I picked up a few that I have done over the last few days and they did the some thing everything stay together but just rolled.....first time that has ever happened!! I looked some of my older ones and they did not do that but the older ones I put a coat of sally's hard as nails on the thread between addin each element of the jig.
So please any advice, and anyone else who has had this problem let me know so I dont feel like an idiot!!
