I always add a few drops of head cement to the shank as soon as I wrap my first few lines of thread. This stops everything from moving. Wrap, cement, add feathers, cement. Add crystal flash and a touch and cement, and then my chenille. Wrap up the finish knot and a drop of glue on it. I have never had a jig come loose, or break down while fishing. Even after catching the 111 crappie limit between the 3 of us on several occasions, not one jig ever came loose. Glue/head cement is cheap, I use a lot of it.
