I'm a new member and I sure enjoy the site. I have a few problems moving on the site but I'll learn how in time. I get a notice in my email when I have a reply to something I have responded to. I'm not sure how to go on the form to check my messages.

hey everyone, just found this sight a couple of days ago, and hope to share and learn as time allows.
I'm from north alabama [ ROLL TIDE], but now living in south alabama, about 12 miles from the gulf.
the fresh water I fish here is a tidal river, and crappie are really hard to find. If the tide is out they seem to scatter,
when it's in you can find them around the same places as anywhere else docks & piers.
finding minnows is another challenge, since most bait shops cater to salt water fishermen.
I've been catching crappie on 1.5 inch shad assassins, but would like to try slow trolling or drifting minnows.
Does anyone know which end of Louis Smith Lake Has the best crappie fishing. I'm going up there in a couple
of weeks. Night fishing down here is pretty good. Lots of red fish and speckled trout, still not the same as finding
a big school of slabs, or finessing them out of tree tops.
Well, got to go....tight lines & clear skies to all.:biggrin
I am a new member to crappie.com and I wanted to introduce myself and my background.

Hey willie ROLL TIDE!!! Do you know anything about Lewis smith lake up around cullman.
I heard the crappie there are really nice, but I've never fished there. If you have any info please

Hey Dave, thanks for the note on smith lake. What part of the delta do you fish, and what do you fish for, inshore or out.
Mostly lake Washington in spring in Greenville Ms , lake Chico in lake village Ark. And Grenada lake I fish mostly crappie , where do fish at and for what and thanks for the response I just become a member not for sure how to get around this site yet anyway have a good day
Yup. The AR boys held the spring camp on Chicot, but most went over to Washington to fish. Pecan Grove CG is where we stayed. Nice place and great people.
Is the Camp Ground across the Hwy from the Lake? Yankee Doodler, Those are some nice looking fish..I will be going a little North to Little rock in March.
Good fishing.
Chet

Hello All at Crappie.com
Just found this site about a week ago, I'm in Inverness Fl. fished the first time for specks crappie to you when I was about six with my Father in lake Okeechobee in a plywood john boat with a lantern miss those days. I have not done much fishing in the past 7 years but getting ready to start again maybe I will gain more knowledge on Crappie.com Still think it should have been speck.com. LOL

How do you go about getting some decals???
First day on this website and wow! Overwhelmed with the wealth of information I've gained. Retired and just now getting a chance to fish inland lakes. Started fly tying and looking for any help and information I can get on fishing for crappie and pan fish. What rods, line etc. to use is all new. Trying to learn what to use what color etc. From the pictures I've seen I probably should quit now as it looks like you guys have already caught all the fish. Use to catching 4 or so trout in a day. Looking forward to bugging some of you for information that will help and will share what I can with anyone else. pecoskid
How do you go about getting some Crappie.com logos? Thanks!
