Hello, Shannon (male) here. I have twin boys 11 yoa. We just bought our first boat. Used 2000 Tracker Pro Deep V 16. We are excited and looking forward to the fun. I have been fishing all my life and could not wait for the boys to join in. We are taking them to the Lake of Ozarks for their birthday 03/15/2013 and hope to catch some Crappie while there. We live in the St. Louis area, but like others (have boat will travel).
New to forum from southern Illinois. According to my wife I'm ate up with crappie fishing, consumed with working on my boat, and obsessed with crappie jigs. This looks like a great place to pick up a few pointers and keep up with the hotspots. Looking forward to learning a few things and putting it on some southern Iliinois specks. I plan on fishing from Shelbyville down to Kincaid and open for suggestions.
I'm from the central Illinois area and mostly fish Lake Evergreen, Lake Bloomington, and Clinton Lake along with some other ponds. I've been fishing since I was 5 and just over the last few years my interest in crappie fishing has grown to being mainly the #1 fish I like to fish for. I joined this site to hopefully gain some pointers from other locals and help other people out when ever I can. If anyone could point me in the direction for the forums that are most current (2013) to the three lakes listed above would be great. I'm having a hard time finding them.

Hello all. I have been following this site for a few weeks and ran across someone from Colfax, Louisiana, Mr. Dry Richards of whom I knew growing up there before leaving and embarking on several long arduous careers. I have lived all over the world and fished in all those places but none have the same meaning or memories of those from Louisiana. I am moving back probably within a year and plan to do a lot of fishing. Most of my fishing here in Washington state has been saltwater for Halibut, Salmon, Seabass and my favorite time of the year in the short summer for the Albacore Tuna. I would take a large Crappie or Bluegill over that any day. I am extremely busy and may not post often until I move back to the Colfax area.

Welcome Aboard from California, David
Hello...grubworm here, new member. Fish Kentucky Lake mostly but thought we might try out Weiss Lake next week. Will be staying at Bay Springs but intend to try out different sections all the way up to Mud Creek. Have gps and not worried about navigation...fished all my life. Wonder if anyone knows the current water temperature and clarity of the Lake. Would expect it to be a little muddy after yesterday's rain. About how long after a good rqain does it start to clear up? Any info would be much appreciated. Keep what you eat...release in the grease! Thanks...safe fishing
Hello and im new to this
I have a 320es lazar motor guide trolling motor im looking for the circuit board for the power head. I dont want to spend alot of money for one cause the motor is over ten years old.my email is [email protected] thank you.
I joined about twenty minutes ago. I really enjoy Crappie fishing starting just about now (it's March - tomorrow is Spring 2013). This is when the urge gets back into my blood. After Spring, Sandra and I head once again to Rockport TX. We were raised in San Antonio so inshore saltwater has been our true love. Years ago, when I was in school (after the Navy) I fished off crappie barges where I could find them, like Lake Whitney in central TX. I am one of the Nuclear Quality Assurance Managers here at the Pantex site outside Amarillo, TX. The drought has taken its toll on the few lakes around here so I hope to hook up with new friends here to take me Crappie fishin' so Sandra and I can release them into Lake Crisco...if you get my drift. LOL! Thanks for lettin' me in!!
Hello to all, New member here from VA ....nice info on this site.
New member from Vermont, new to crappie fishing but not new to fishing. Learning how/where/when to fish 'em. We're on the back-end of ice fishing, and not quite ready for open water fishing. Looking forward to the coming open-water season.

Welcome from Northeast Michigan...
SW Ohio here. Fish SW Ohio and SE Indiana, sometimes the Ohio River, great fishery but eating those fish has me worried. Primarily a Walleye nut, but find Crappie to be a pleasant and tasty diversion. Currently boatless but hope to change that in the near future. Until then have a few buddies that drag me along.
