Hello all, I have been busy looking and reading, and haven't had time to post anything. Like what I have saw, so far. Looks like plenty of help, and good family atmosphere here. Enjoyed seeing pictures of boats. I don't feel so out of place now, ( all the spider rigging).I live in central Arkansas, and fish several lakes, or take up space on several lakes.
Thanks
Steve
Hello from the St. Francois Mts. in Mo.I am new to this site, not new to crappie fishing.
Howdy from Round Rock, Texas! I've caught a lot of fish, but Crappie are still my favorite. There's nothing like find that sweet crappie honey hole.
Hello all! I'm glad to have found this site. Hope to learn a lot about crappie fishing. Just really started fishing for them. I'm originally from PA but now reside in Dawsonville, GA. I fish Lanier mostly. Tightlines...........unless your hung up!
Move over and make room for this lady...just wanted to say howdy and to introduce myself. I live in Southeast Michigan in the Detroit Metro area. As you know, this area is surrounded by water so there are literally fishin' opportunities everywhere. I've been fishing most of my life and hope to be doing more of it this year since I'm now "retired". I'm watching the Detroit River action very closely so I can catch the silver (white) bass run that should be starting in 2-4 weeks. We had a nasty cold snap a couple of weeks ago so the river is still jammed up with ice in spots so it's going to take a bit longer than usual for the river to reach the magic 55 degrees. Had to give up the boat last year due to physical issues but plan on doing a lot of shore fishing, which I enjoy just as much! I'll be seeing everyone around...
Howdy! I love crappie fishin' and I think it's the best tasting fish there is as well. I've been crappie fishing ever since I was a kid. My dad used to take us out on his pontoon boat with eight foot cane poles. I've been hooked ever since.
I hope to learn here, as well as maybe share a few things I've discovered along the way here.
Looking forward to spending some down time here.
Thanks for putting up all the info for newbies. One of the best forums i've seen so far and hope to learn a lot from everyone!!

Hello everyone. Name is pretty much applied. My grandfather and grandmother taught me how to fish when i was young, used to take me out to a military lake where we caught mostly sunfish, some crappie. Biggest thing I've ever landed was a 8lb smallmouth bass from the shore on a simple hook and worm line. Funny story that one is, i wasn't paying attention to the float as i was working with my spinner rod. Looking to get some tips from other fishermen around the country as i learned a while back that there is more to fishing than just a hook and worm. Got an assortment of spinners, spoons and crankbait. I might get back into swimbait. Going out and fishing more than just one lake around the area is where I am at right now. So anyway, glad and be here and good luck to everyone this season.
Welcome!
Hello every one Central Texas here thats Lake Whitney Texas to you Texans lol . I have fished & hunted most all my life but when it comes to fishin well all hands down Crappie has to be the best

My name is Nicki Halstead. I own a small internet based company called Blue Collar Jigs and Flies in Barnesville Ga. I have been in business since the first of the year after testing the jigs and flies I tie for almost two years. I am looking for the best way to introduce them to crappie, hybrid, striper, bass, and any other kind of fisherman around the country that are interested in them. I am happy to send a small sample pack to anyone interested in giving them a try. All I need is a private message sent to me with address and phone number. My goal is to have a thousand customers by the end of the year and meet a bunch of really cool people that love to fish like my family and I do. I would also like to inform people of a cancer support group that my company supports called Compasionate Hearts. We donate 10% of company profits to support the group to pay for traveling expenses for victims, prescriptions, groceries, what ever the family needs to keep thier head above water. We did a fundraising fishing trip for the support group and managed to raise quite a bit of money. If you would like to see my work or support Compasionate Hearts you can visit my website and see some of what I do. Thanks a million for the warm welcome and look forward to spending time here on crappie.com introducing my jigs to everyone. PS IN AUGUST WE WILL START SELLING A 2-DAY DEER HUNTING TRIP FOR THE MINISTRY. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED SEND A MESSAGE OR GIVE ME A CALL. TAKE A LOOK AT MY PROFILE AND YOU CAN SEE THE KIND OF ANIMALS THAT COME OFF OUR HUNTING LAND. LOOK FORWARD TO TALKING TO YOU AND GETTING TO KNOW ALL OF YOU !!!

My name is Don Jackson. I am a "born-again" crappie fisherman. I fished alot when I was a kid; my Papaw had a place at Enid Lake, MS. But, I went years without fishing much, except to take the kids. I have been in the Army and National Guard for eighteen years and am looking forward to retiring and fishing every day. I live in Tennessee about 20 miles from Reelfoot, and I just bought some land a few miles from Bay Springs lake in Mississippi (haven't fished there much). I am here to learn from the guys that do it every day. Thanks for having me.
Howdy all from New Hampshire ! There isn't a big Crappie fan base here abouts so I went looking for one and found you folks. I was introduced to the Wonderful world of Crappie fishin when I was working down south, I been chasin them ever since !

Hi all! My name is Steve ,I live and fish in the central coast of California. The lakes i fish the most are Cachuma and Lopez lakes . All my fishing is from shore, no boat:( I'll do my best to give periodic updates on shore fishing from those two.I'm somewhat new to using a computer at the age of 53, I know! I was living in the stone-age! So if i mess -up you'll understand. The only thing more than Crappie and redear fishing that i enjoy most is eating a batch fried up:D Thanks!

Hi, I just joined (was allowed to join against everyone's better judgment :)) last week. My earliest fishing memory is catching a 5lb or so carp near my grandfather's house on Kentucky Lake when I was three. I thought it was Jaws and I was terrified. I spent just about every trip to Tennessee fishing for crappie with my grandad up until the time he passed away. My dad also loved to fish, and we went camping or fishing several times a year. I have my own little one now, and I'm looking forward to teaching him to fish someday.
There isn't a whole lot of prime fishing in my immediate area, but I like to hit Cataract and Mississinewa when I can. Mostly shore fishing, but once I'm done with grad school, I'll be looking to buy some sort of boat.
The only thing better than catching crappie is eating them!
Thanks,
Dave H.
I believe the nest time is time you are on the water . 100 degrees 30 mph wind. Foam sloshing over in your boat . If the fish bite . The barnett has been awful this year so far . Howdie all, I have been poking around here for about a week now. I introduced myself in the Missouri forums, since that is where I am. But I was born and raised in Arkansas! Which will always be my home. Been fishing since I was old enough to hold a cane pole. I have been around the world and back with my stint in the Navy for 7 years. Now I am just working and trying to find time to get back to fishing again. Found this site by accident and all I can say is WOW! I love this place. Nothing but Crappie guys and gals talking Crappie fishing, what else do you need! lol
You can find me hanging out mostly in the Missouri forum threads. But I will be bouncing around in other areas as well and maybe get to know more of ya! Thanks for the welcome and the site.
Welcome
