Kosmo, since you have been with the touch features how much do you use it? I have the 1198 and use it mostly for striper fishing. How often do you clean the screen while fishing?

smudge marks are an issue for me . I'm trying to use the buttons as much as I can,but I catch myself wanting to use the touch function.i clean the screen quite often. (Heres a tip,if you use fish formula, and I do,if you get it on your hands and then you swipe the screen or pinch to zoom, you just as well have something with you to clean the screen because it will leave a smudge mark)

Hey guys reading Kosmos post about the fish formula reminds me of something. With the Lowrance graphs (yeah I know this is an Onix thread) I have seen several have the glass screens get ruined by SPRAY ON SUNSCREEN. Be careful if you use that stuff to keep it away from the screens.

Nice pics Kosmo and thanks for helping.

I seem to remember that there was a product BBG Marine was selling for guys with the Lowrance Touch to reduce smudging, but can't remember any details.......Gotta be some of you Touch users that are using this stuff?

Brettw......Bet if you give Brian ....BBG Marine a PM or call he can get you a discount.

This is what Humminbird recommends for cleaning the screens on their products. If you can't find it, use a 50/50 mix of distilled water and vinegar.
