    Thanks Kosmo

    On the 998 when they added the offset you had a line on the screen extending from the bow of the boat icon. I assumed that was the offset?

    You are correct.the offset is displayed different on the onix.(I like much better.the offset range is displayed on the screen)

    See that little white line thats just ouside the offset ring.thats my trolling motor showing

    So, If you are going to vertical fish a spot, you would postion that little white dot over the structure....or fish you are wanting to fish?

    Do you have any 360 shots with the range set to a shorter range....say 50 feet? Wondering if the fish would show up better on brush or a stump to sneak up on a brush pile and see if there are any fish on it before you get there.
