Are DI and SI both enabled in the pix of post #139 and #140...??

The "Washboard effect" seems very prominent ...

yes, both were set to 800.the last two pictures in post #138 have si set to 455 while the di is set to 800..................... this picture is also using 455 for the si,while the di is set to 800. .

Sorry about not showing the lables.this is one of the software glitches.my unit will only display 455.even if the unit is set to 800,it still displays 455.its no big deal for me,but it makes things comfusing when I post the pictures.so I just turned the lables off.seems like running the si on 455 while di set to 800 works best.(wider scanning range and crisper di)

Don't get me wrong, really like the onix, but so far I'm not getting the results that I would like with the si.later today ill try the onix with full window si on 800 and I'll have the pinging turned off on di to see what results I get.heres a shot from my 998 and one from the [URL=http://s826.photobucket.com/user/kosmo012/media/Mobile%20Uploads/snp0328145028_zps75c8zccv.jpg.html][/URL

Kosmo, you bought the Onix mainly to hook to your 360 right? Have they given you a time frame when the available parts will be ready? I'd love to see some 360 images from you or Diel.

Im going to run a ethernet cable straight from the 360 to the onix control head.theres no parts needed other than I need a longer ethernet cable.its ordered and should be delivered early in the week.the 360 is going to be my primary screen that I will view while fishing, but I also like experimenting.almost as much as fishing

Nice Di. Can you clear that surface clutter in 2d? Si does not look good to me.

In a thread on the BBC Diel mentioned that glare was a problem. What's your take on glare vs the 998?

Fishfood, the onix is a whole lot easier to see in the sunlight compared to my 998hd unit.now as far as the smudge marks go, I can see them and I wipe them off every so often.they look real bad when I set the unit to standby and go back to the console area and look back to the front of the boat.

Update.....the glitch problem that I thought I thought I was having in the favorites view just turned out to be me not knowing how to operate the unit.theres still some other small glitches ,but not bad.im still not getting as good of si as I link that I should be getting.maybe because the transducer is mounted on the trolling motor. I don't no....
