I'm happy, Carols happy, and the long handled dip net makers are happy.

Long handled dip nets are very useful. If someone comes by and wants to give you some fish, you can just stick the net over to their boat and they can load it up with the fish. If someone should happen to catch a good slab while close, as a favor you can net their fish for them. This doesn't mean you give it to them once you get it in your net If you are fishing for speckled trout off a pier mobile bay that is about 6 feet above the water, the long handled net is the bomb unless the trout is as long as your leg and half or more of it is hanging out of the net. Then, no one is happy especially your wife.

I like a long handled net and am not afraid to use it. If a fish is close enough I can see his gills flare, he will probably already be in the net.
