Where to begin?
Hey fellas. I recently moved from the Mountain Home area down to Brinkley, and I am looking for some good fishing ideas. Per Google, there's a ton of waterways around here, but I have a couple of issues I am concerned about.
First, I have no idea what is private and what is open to the public as I don't really know much about the waterways down in this area (and Google isn't much help with many of them). Second, I don't have a boat so I am stuck fishing from the bank...and from what I've gathered, without a 4-wheeler many of these waterways are inaccessible anyhow (or I'm just simply not seeing the access roads on Google Maps).
I've tried Lake Greenlee, Horseshoe (by Biscoe) and various spots in Dagmar, but the majority of what I am seeing in these spots tells me that without a boat I am up the proverbial creek (without the proverbial paddle).
Let me be clear, I am not asking anyone for any "honey holes" or anything of that nature. I don't wish to intrude on anyone's sanctuary in that way. What I am asking for is just maybe a nudge in the right direction on places I can check out or fish without trespassing and do reasonably well being stuck on the bank within a 30-45 minute driving radius. I may expand that eventually, but for now I'd like to stick to areas I know a bit.
Thanks so much, and if anyone ever needs any info on Lake Norfork, I'd be happy to help. Hope the fish are biting for ya.
