That way I can move it if necessary but I have not had to. I noticed, from your picture, there is a top and bottom piece to your transducer. It is imperative that the bottom part be below the boat. The one who sent a picture of a board running out to the transducer is a good way to make sure it is at the right level. And, if possible put it between the strakes. I got cutting board from Walmart today and I cut it in half, jb welded the two halves together then cut it so it's 8" long and 5" tall and it will go between the drain hole and the bunks on the trailer so I can move the transducer anywhere between there! I am also just gonna go ahead and get the transducer as deep as I can get it then just make a piece to go on top to deflect the spray it throws up and I'm hoping that will work...if it doesn't then I'll find a way to mount it on the bottom of the boat
