If you use HumminbirdPC, you can copy your waypoints into a spreadsheet like Microsoft Excel and organize them and make notes. While in HBPC, I use prefixes to denote the lake and type of waypoint as well as the various waypoint symbols to denote routes, fish habitat, etc. I have a HBPC backup file that organizes each lake by group and then create a separate local file for a specific trip that only has the data for whatever lake(s) I'm fishing.
Forgot to add...some create separate waypoints for bow and console and maintain separate files for each. I do most of my searching from console so majority of my waypoints are created from console and can share them across the network.
