So, the sonarhub doesn't magically give me brilliant chirp side and down images? (similar to the Garmin images I see on the websites)
I'm fine with my current 2d sonar.
I want a better downscan, and side scan. I want to see those fish under the docks.
I dont want to buy a chirp tm150 transducer.
If you add both, you've added 900.00 to your unit. Nuts.
That's the way I understand it Brett...

Sonar Hub is StructureScan HD (SI/DI)...and CHIRP 2d....

    No CHIRP SI/DI....

It is also my understanding that Sonar Hub does not allow StructureScan HD (SI/DI)...and CHIRP 2d to be viewed simultaneously ...(when sounding Sonar Hub for StructureScan - 2d can only be regular tone burst)...

There has to be an additional StructureScan HD sounder attached....(along with the LSS 2 xducer and CHIRP 2d xducer)...

To view StructureScan HD (SI/DI) and CHIRP 2d simultaneously....Either ...:
    *Sonar Hub + Touch + LSS 2 xducer + CHIRP 2d xducer
    *Sonar Hub + Simrad evo2 + LSS 2 xducer + CHIRP 2d xducer
    *Sonar Hub + Gen1/2 non touch + LSS module + LSS 2 xducer + CHIRP 2d xducer

Don't quite me on that one tho...I'm still trying to learn it also...

    Rickie

PS...anytime those guys at THT mention "sounder"...that's basically the "transmitter" for that specific sonar (2d/DI/SI)...which generates the electrical signal that is "transmitted" to the specific piezo(s) in the xducer...which, then, in turn...converts that electrical signal into vibration...that is "emitted" from that specific piezo into the sound pulse (ping)...

    Rickie,
    Let me ask you this.
My LSS2 as I bought it, send and receives the signals it needs to produce my down and side images.
Adding a Sonarhub and installing it, will not change or improve that LSS2 unit or what I see?
I would need to buy some sort of chirp transducer (tm150) .
    Thanks

No it will not enhance your Structure Scan. Only 2d, and then you need the correct td to take advantage of the technology.

The 1 "unknown" at this time is Navico's new 2014 generation processor in the Simrad Evo2 built in StructureScan HD...(the previous Navico imaging processor was introduced in the Touch 2010 I think)...

It could possibly be the next standard by which all other imaging is compared to...

Sonar Hub is the LSS 2 module...with an added CHIRP transmitter for 2d...
