    Default HB 598 ducer

Thinking about mounting my 598 on my trolling motor and not sure which ducer to get. Just standard brush pile fishing with SI and DI. It's the standard ducer that comes with it the way to go?

I have a798 on mine ,don't see the need to spend more money on a small unit,i have a 998 at concole. I like the 2d as much on tm as si or di ,if you set 2d right they will pick up fish on bottom that si nor di will show,i much of the time will run 2d and di at same time but if fish become related to bottom i will go full screen with 2d,others will disagree but thats my thoughts

Don't believe you understand my question. I already own a 598 and plan to move it to the bow on my new boat. If I'm already Bing a new ducer for the TM I didn't know if there are better alternatives.

The TM version of the compact SI xducer that works with your 598ci HD SI Combo has the same piezoes that are already in the stock xducer that came with your unit....

You would gain extra shielding with the TM version...that may, or may not even be needed for your application....

I would suggest just buying this bracket to mount your XNT 9 SI 180 T to the TM....

Then, if you experience RF interference...we'll tackle that dog in a different race....

Thanks, just assumed that standard transom ducer was too large.
