Went with Crappieguru to Oologah this morning. We bank fished off the rocks on the East side of the lake & caught 21. Black/red/green and pumpkin/green seemed to be the colors of the day.

Another guy who was bank fishing there hook a good sized blue & didn't want it so I took him :D Stopped by the bait shop after we de-slabbed them, the bag weighed 6.1 pounds.

Thanks guys, we really did have a good time. This was my first experience using slip bobbers which worked great around the brush piles. Taking the boat out to the same area on Thursday, it's supposed to be in the 60's! Gotta love that this time of year.

Went with my Brother-in-Law and Nephew. We ended up splitting 71 keepers. Was a great day on the lake despite the wind. Time to get all the friends over for a fish fry.

ya it worked pretty good. I need to take it out and leave the poles at home and just play with it and all the settings. Learning to read the SI output is a bit different than I am used to.

Slip bobbin the Spenser (s or c, hmmm?, O'well) Creek area off the bank. Kept these 10, tossed a bunch back in and gave a few away. Caught on lil'hustler jigs (black/red/green) with a yellow dough ball on the point of the hook. Brought them home and filleted them then took them to City Hall in Claremore and gave them to a gal my wife works with, all smiles! Wanted to take the boat out but the wind was pretty strong this morning, as it turns out I probably should have taken it as the wind was out of the South & this area was pretty well protected, next time.

Nice mess you have there G3! I stopped by there for a few minutes today. I was only able to fish a little while before having to head back home. It was my first time to Spencer and I'd spent the morning fishing around Blue Creek and the East side of Spencer with little to show for my efforts. Of course, the last place I went is where I saw everyone else. When I pulled up and saw those cars parked there, I told my Wife "Yep, this is the first place we should have came to!"

The older Gentleman in the Tracker was putting on a clinic. I watched him catch 6 in 30 minutes or so I was there and I think his Wife landed two. I noticed he was tightlining with a weight on the bottom and a minnow a short ways up from the weight.

There are some really good brush piles and a few holes off the bank there and the crappie are hitting jigs really well right now. Roger, one of the guys fishing next to me, showed me where one of those washtub sized holes is and he was pulling fish out of that hole at break-neck speed. He has 31 in his bucket in less than 2 hours I think, but he likes the smaller size around 7 inches or so, I'm not so good a filleting them yet so I try to keep just the larger ones. I wish I had taken the boat, there were three boats fishing the same area off that bank & I think they were all doing very well. Hope to see you there sometime!
