Deer hunting huh. I'm taking vacation during muzzle load season and gun season too. I'm not sure it's so I can hunt, seems like anymore I just like to hang out with my deer huntin buddies and let the younguns have all the shots when we see some. I really would rather be fishin if the truth was told, but I still get deer fever when I see a nice buck. Maybe it's all that draggin the deer you've shot, and the sitting and waiting and freezing, then it's all over in one second when you make the shot. I hunt down at Broken Bow where I grew up, and them hills can wear a man out. At least with fishin you never know whats on the end of the line, and you get to fight the fish for more than one short second. I still like hunting though, I'm just sayin.

I have been trying to get some stuff done around the house before the weather cools off too much. Deer season is about here also, I probably will give the crappie a break until after Christmas.

We went Saturday and brought home 22 keepers. Fishin seems to have slowed down from what we were catching last month. Caught em fishin tight to brush. Saw lots of suspended fish but couldn't get any of them to bite. The ones we caught were close to bottom in the thick brush.
