What colors were you catching them on? I was using a blue/black Vibra King tube jig with orange head and a Black head with an BG slab slayer in electric chicken. I was fishing about 10 foot deep beneath a slip cork. I missed one bite in the short amount of tie I was there.

We were pessimistic about going out on the lake today after the storms went through late last night and the wind was supposed to be pretty strong too. We went anyway, and early in the morning it was pretty decent the wind wasn't bad and the fish were biting. We fished brush piles in 12 to 16ft. We used minnows and jigs and both produced well. We did good with 1/8 pink heads and Bobby Garlands baby shads in chartreuse and bone white, licorice, and Yum beaver tails in black and chartreuse. The crappie bit real good most of the morning until the wind got bad. After that it was a real job staying on the fish. We caught 41 keepers 10 inches or bigger and at least another 50 or more throwbacks. We caught a bunch of throwbacks that were just under 10 inches. The wind finally aggravated us enough to give it up, but we sure enjoyed our time on the water todayName: New Years Eve Crappie 2010 016.jpg

I took a good friend out this morning and we ended up with 30+ ten inchers or better. Sat next to another good friend who hit a limit. I've got to get a pair of rubber gloves for anchor pulling! Thank goodness for the Coleman heater! All in all, caught maybe 100 fish, bite was from 2' below the surface to 18' deep. Not a bad start to the new year.

Another day at the ol'fishin hole. Didn't catch many, but those I did catch were good'nuf. Largest was 13 (give or take a little) inches and weighed 1 pound 5 ounces. Caught slip bobbin the brush piles at Spencer Creek.

Tomorrow I'm taking the new G3 boat out. Will launch at Spencer Creek at about 10AM if anyone wants to do a little fishin.

The crappie bite at oologah has been off the chain. I've never caught so many fish in the winter like this. I've probably caught over 200 fish in as many as three trips. None under ten inches. They are very close to the brush in 18 fow. Just be sure to get some rubber gloves for the anchor ropes. Will post pics soon.

Hey guys, new to the forums here. Been poking around this thread and thought I join in. After seeing everyone's picture and reading stories I decided to go out and try some bank fishing this past weekend out at spencer creek. Didn't work out well for my dad and I as we didn't really know where anything was in the water nor the depth so we just casted a feel times. We called it quits about 2 hours later due to the freezing wind.
