Fished yesterday caught some crappie until they shut the water down. The only positive to the water being "off" was the hybrids. Wow!

Hey Penny...went below the damn Wednesday before dark. Only caught 2 crappies...one was nice about 1.25 lb..the other was a dink. hung into about a 15 lb drum..5 minute fight on my light tackle..still ended up breaking my line!! I also caught a huge sandie..thought it was a hybrid..but no broken lines..just a real big sandie. Hope to get back down there...maybe with a bucket o minnows.

Well Finally did some good in Big Creek this evening. Went by Jim's Bait in Nowata. Got some Locally made T-BONE Jigs and Minnows. Caught prolly 50 fish, but here's what's for dinner!

I saw the tops of some of the new brush piles, caught 2 fish close to one of them. The rest I caught on a brush pile, but not sure if it was an older one or a newer one. GOD BLESS ALL YOU WHO PUT OUT THE BRUSH PILES!!!!

Made it out to the big O today. It was a good day all in all, the wind wasn't too bad and the fish were biting. The early morning bite was very good, it slowed way down after about 9:00am and then we really had to work for them. We caught fish around brush anywhere from 8 - 18ft deep. We ended up with 22 good sized keepers with just as many throwbacks.

I tried a new jig today which I caught most of my fish on, it's made by Crazy Angler a CC member/sponsor. See the pic below...it looks very similar to a Bobby G. except it has a fatter body and different tail and it seems to more durable I caught a ton of fish on a single jig. It also has a very strong scent...garlic I believe. He sent me these as a sample but I'm definately going to order some from him.

This is the sour grape color
