You guys are killing me with these directions. Fish Oologah all the time and now I feel lost...lol. Went Saturday got a late start fished from 2 till 6 and caught 32 keepers. Had one that weighed close to 2lbs but nothing huge. Fished brush piles 15 to 17 ft deep, crappie were suspended 8 to 12 ft deep. Best colors were licorice with an orange head and pink and black with a pink head. Most of the fish were females that looked like they swallowed a golf ball. Went again Sunday caught 13 keepers before the wind made it unbearable. Best color Sunday was orange and chartreuse with a orange head. Sure wish the wind would relax a little.

The ramp at Vada point is under construction repairs and will not be ready until after the spawn. Spencer and Blue Creeks are good bets. Repeat, don't waste your time in Talala Creek area.

A group PETA protesters blocked the ramp with a truckload of dill pickles dumped on it and the vinegar has had an adverse reaction to the water. The (2)Crappie tasted really bad, made me feel like I wanted a ham and cheese samich to go with them. The vinegar was so strong at the ramp, it caused the cracked portion of the ramp to fall off and there's not enough ramp left to launch a boat. It's not a CORP ramp. It's a County Ramp and the County has agreed to repair it but not until AFTER the spawn.

So, anyone from the big city, make sure you go to the EAST side of the lake and catch all the Crappie you can stand. I'll let everyone know when it's open again. My guess it will be ten years. (I figure I got 'bout ten years of lots o fishin left, then I die)

I'm just kiddin about the ramp being closed. A mo betta map to git there would be head South on Hwy 69 until you come to Hwy 9, turn left towards Longtown and ask TheLipRippers where the VADA point ramp is.

We fished from the bank Monday at Vada Point, Winganon East Ramp, and Spencer Creek. The wind was bad, but we managed to find some calm spots. Unfortunately, the crappie didn't seem to agree on the spots we picked. Anyone else fish from the banks in those places over the weekend or Monday ? If so, how did you do ?

If weather cooperates, I'm planning on getting up in the morning and doing some bank fishing.

I fished Talala creek this evening and only caught 3. Do you guys think they have started to spawn up there full swing yet, or are they done? it didnt seem anyone else was doing that good up there either. I figured they would be in there like crazy.

I know a fisherman that lives in the small community of Winganon. So far, they say they haven't spawned yet, but should be ready.... and that the weather keeps running them back out.

I know a man that fishes Oologah 250 days a year and he told me that he limited out yesterday with jig and cork set 10" below the bobber. All fish caught in same spot.
