    Default bank fishing

There are two new floating fishing docks in RV park just north of Dam. Also foot trails around the banks. Maybe be worth checking out.

Spencer Creek had a lot of bank fisherpersons this spring.

I took my brother up to the lake yesterday evening. My nephew had to go to the dentist and he promised him he would take him out fishing for being a good boy. It was a short trip, we started fishing at 7:15 so we only had an hour and a half to fish. We hit brush piles in the 12 to 14 range and caught 11 keepers including this hog. I just wish we could have been out there at 4 or 5.

Nice fish MD. Hope that puts the fire in the young man's belly. By the way, next time could you use a wide angle lens so we can see the shore line and pin point your location?
    Hey, tell me a story!

You guys don't recognize Kite Hill in the background? This pile is no secret, it's a corps pile straight from their website.

That boy has the fire in him like no other kid I have seen, some kids like to go to the toy store and get toys; he likes to go to the bait store and get lures. He watches fishing shows instead of cartoons. It's the darndest thing, he's only 5!

Don, it looks like a Eufaula slab doesn't it! I'll tell you what though, there are some toads in Oologah, the biggest one I've ever caught came out of Oologah, I didn't weigh it but took a picture, I'll dig it up and post it. I was fishing with Todd Huckabee and Barry Morrow one time and I asked Barry what his favorite OK lake to fish was and, to my surprise, he said Oologah.

The fishing reports sure seem to have slowed down the last couple of weeks. The summer fishing is starting to get really good. For the next few months, barring any bad weather or drastic water level changes, anyone should be able to catch a livewell full on every trip out if they will just read and follow the tips in the summer fishing thread. Brushpiles and minnows folks!:D

Stay after them and good luck everybody!

Default A couple of fish from this trip

Should have caught more but it took us a little while to find a brush pile that produced keepers but once we did it was pretty steady.
Here is my cousin with a couple of fish from our evening up to the lake on 6/2.
