I was in an 20' OD Camo Fisher with a 115 Optimax on the back. When I saw how murky water North of the bridge was, I turned around and went back South and hit those boat docks with brush. Later I started searching coves with higher temps. Whenever I found a cove that had 3 to 6 degree warmer water, and a little brush, I found the fish. Many times it would be at the very back of the cover.

I think the fishing will be just fine on Eufaula within another week if we don't get anymore of those Toad Stranglers. The fish I caught at Porum were on brush and I know that it was probably out of the water a week ago. I have a couple places in mind now that the lake has filled back up. I just need to get the time to go!
Like Stink said, you may have to keep looking if you're not catching them where you're at. If it's one thing I'm learning, it's that if one technique doesn't work, either change locations or change techniques. If you're not catching fish, something needs a changin'!
As for the snake, I have no idea what it is. In my younger days, it would have been a dead snake. But as I get older, I'm trying to be a kinder, gentler OkieDon and turn away from my ways of the past. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't
